“Planning a wedding is so much fun! There are many things to consider, but the wedding cake is one of the sweetest parts. I’d love to work with you to make your cake a delightful and delicious centerpiece for your wedding.”
Let’s get started
Resources
I’m proud to be listed as part of the Sweet Bough Wedding Collective community, along with vendors of all shapes and sizes who abide by similar principles of respect, inclusion, and compassion. Explore the vendor directory and find great resources in the collective.
Taste
At your tasting, we’ll meet to enjoy a 6″ cake made in the flavor combination of your choice. You take the rest of the cake home to enjoy at your leisure. We’ll discuss flavors, style, design, price range etc. Plan on the tasting lasting about an hour. Many couples enjoy sharing ideas by bringing photographs, a binder, or by sending me a link to things from Pinterest or Google Images.
Popular Combinations and Flavor list
The tasting is $30. If you book a wedding cake or cupcakes valued at $300 or more, your tasting fee will apply toward your wedding cake. If you wish to try additional flavors of cake at your testing, this can be arranged for an additional fee. NOTE that due to COVID tastings are conducted a little differently. You pick up your 6” tasting cake and then we can have a Zoom meeting after you try the cake.
Details & Pricing
For 2021, cupcakes begin at $2 each and cake starts at $3.75 per slice. Wedding favor sugar cookies begin at $1.75 each. I also offer mini cupcakes as well as less traditional choices. Vegan and gluten-free options are available.
Some couples leave a tasting knowing they’d like to have me bake their wedding cake or cupcakes. Many others need some time to think, or are trying out multiple bakeries. I hope that you leave your tasting feeling comfortable about working with me. You are putting a great deal of trust in me to bake your wedding cake or wedding cupcakes, and I strive to earn that trust.
If you decide to have me bake for your wedding, I’ll add you to my calendar and we’ll work together to create a contract that lays out all the plans for your wedding. Once the contract is at a place that we want it, I’ll ask you to sign it and put down a deposit toward your wedding desserts.
Blending Cultures
Kim and Mohammad blended American wedding culture with traditional Indian wedding culture. They had a beautiful gold base for their traditional American style 3 tiered red velvet cake. The day following their traditional American wedding in the Finger Lakes they followed with a traditional Indian wedding in the greater Syracuse area.
